NewsSeptember 1, 2009The Walk & Roll Campaign focuses on expanding our outreach efforts and highlights successes of current programming in our schools on the South Coast. COAST has garnered the support for increased visibility of program offerings and is piloting the Walk & Roll Challenge at La Cumbre Junior High. This pilot program is supported by Traffic Solutions, the Community Environmental Council, the City of Santa Barbara, County of Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition and the City of Goleta. |
Upcoming EventsMay 18, 2009Bike to School Day Bike to School Day is a national event during Bike Month. Contact your SR2S Coordinator to see how you can help gear up for Bike to School Day. Bike Helmet Distribution COAST/SR2S, in conjunction with the Goleta Valley Cycling Club and Santa Barbara Kiwanis, distribute and fit cool, multi-sport helmets after school for a low cost. Parents and kids can bring helmet from home and we’ll make sure it fits properly. Contact your SR2S Coordinator. Bike Fit and Safety Check: SR2S can coordinate a day to come to your school to do bike fit and safety checks. Contact your SR2S Coordinator about scheduling. |
